CHAPTER 1.  ADULTERATION OR MISBRANDING OF FOOD IN GENERAL

NOTICE: As to repeal of the second section of this act, see the act of 1905, April 20, P.L. 234.

[P.S.] § 10.  Sale of food containing formaline, etc., prohibited


   Any person, firm or corporate body who shall, by himself, herself or themselves, or by his, her or their agent or servants, manufacture, sell, ship, consign, offer for sale, expose for sale, or have in possession with intent to sell, any article of food which contains formaline, formaldehyde, sodium fluoride, or any of their compounds, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor; and upon conviction thereof in the court of quarter sessions of the peace of the proper county, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than fifty nor more than one hundred dollars, or to undergo an imprisonment not exceeding sixty days, or both, at the discretion of the court.
